Lily Parke is the pen name of Sarah Brown. Sarah has worn many hats in her career, from working for a U.S. Senator to lobbying for rocket scientists to being a trademark lawyer, with a healthy dose of waiting tables thrown in for good measure. After living in the Nation’s capital for two decades, the Great Recession sent her scurrying back to her home town of Topeka, Kansas. There she found the time to write the novel she’d had in the back of her mind for years. Sarah learned to her delight that her local library has an excellent program for developing and supporting new writers, and she has taken full advantage. Sarah is still living in Topeka, working a day job, volunteering at her church and spending time with her six older brothers and sisters. She has two feline writing companions: Scooter (who likes to rest his head on her left arm when she’s trying to type) and Bast (who prefers her right).
